Every morning we enjoyed our wonderful breakfast. The entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Every wish will be fullfiled within a few minutes. There is nothing about this place we want to be changed. Hopefully there will be also the chance to get some food when we are back in May. | My first trip to Sri Lanka was a nice trip. I arrived very late in Colombo Airport and got a pick-up at the airport as requested. Only 20 min. later I was at Gomezplace. I got a warm welcome by the smiling staff and help with my luggage. The room was clean and beautiful flower knobs had been spread all over the bed. Next morning my table, in front of my room in the garden, had been prepared for breakfast. I got a lovely omelette, with fresh coffe, mango juice (freshly pressed), toast and fresh fruit. The staff was very helpful, I got good advice and suggestions for my tours to see the beautiful country. I went around Negombo in a tuk-tuk, got helpt to arrange a tour to Colombo and all the way to Kandy with a nice and helpful, English speaking driver. The swimming pool is clean and nice, the garden is beautiful and the location is excellent, only 5 min. walk from the main road with lots of restaurants, bars, all kinds of shops, ATM and tourist boutiques. I was there only for 5 days, but next time I will definitely stay longer. Thank you! |

| Even before I could upload the pictures that i took of Sri Lanka, I decided to write about how beautiful our stay was at Gomez Place and without an inkling of a doubt i know that this experience would stay in my memory till the end of time; However, I had to make sure that what i state here should not miss even a single point as to how amazing Gomez and his crew were, otherwise it would be a gross injustice done to the. At this juncture, i should mention that the "crew" as i would like to call them than Gomez's employees (not mentioning names here because it was so hard to remember them since it was more like tongue twisters in English), were the best you could find anywhere in this world. Courteous, patient and very well mannered are the words that come to mind every time I think of them. They were friendly at all times and their skills at making the bed and decorating the sheets left me awe struck. Last but not least, Gomez was the perfect host that we could ask for. His attitude is in no doubt the source for his employees. Gomez has done a wonderful job considering all gamete of running a resort and it sure made our stay most memorable. Immaterial of the number of competitions out there, Gomez Place would always be my first choice. Home away from home is an understatement for what you get at Gomez Place. It is a home by itself that you cannot compare it something else. At times i think Gomez Place is the Home and in India, its just a house. |

| Another couple of weeks based at Gomezplace, held my birthday there - Gomez arranged everything... 60 guests, brilliant food. Gomez has opened a further four superior rooms and refurbished two others. All are elegant and comfortable. The four staff are wonderful, and friends who pass through are as delightful as ever. And I have to say the guests are, whether couples, male or female, very interesting people - conversations abound. I love this place. Well done, Gomez. |

As other people mentioned it, I felt really at home as the staff was friendly an made me feel welcome. Breakfast was just great! The room was clean and spacious. | I stayed 4 nights at Gomez Place begining of february 2010 and decided to come back 4 more nights after a 10 days tour of Sri Lanka. A guesthouse is supposed to have a family atmosphere but at Gomez Place you have much more than that : u feel like if you were staying on holidays with friends you know for years !! Gomez and his staff have always nice, discreet and smiling attention to you always happy to give you usefull information or to provide you with even the most insignificant need or wish. Really a very confortable and well furnished guesthouse (individual safety boxes, free wifi, cable TV, A/C,...) where you can stay and relax during days or weeks ! | I've just finished a 3 night diversion from my holiday in Thailand, with a stay at Gomez Place, Negombo. It is my secound visit here as I first came for a 12 day visit in April 2009. The place is superb, with a level of attention to detail and personnal service that warranted my travel deviations. Gomez is your on site owner and host, who along with his great young team deliver to your wildest expectations!!! All rooms are nice, all have clor TV with 40+ cable channels, air-con and constant hot water for both shower and sinks. There is an electronic safe in each room, which is both secure and convenient. Friendly staff and visitors, homely, Gomezy (Mr. Gomez is a AAA+), laid back, exciting when so desired, quiet and restful when so desired, clean, fresh tropical juice and fruits for breakfast served outside your room, air-conditioning, hot water, fridge in each room, WiFi Internet for the workaholics, a friendly dog (Mr. Jake) and a friendly cat, swimming pool, no noise pollution like everywhere else in Sri Lanka, no touts, nice restaurants and beach at a walking distance a little gem.
